The RMH RMO Society advocates for the rights and wellbeing of all Doctors in Training employed by Melbourne Health. Doctors in Training can always turn to the RMH RMO Society for support or to escelate concerns.

Improving hospital processes, protocols and procedures in order to deliver high quality care to our patients is central to our mandate. The RMH RMO Society works closely with the Improvement HMO to prioritise, design, implement and evaluate improvement projects.

Melbourne Health offers a wide range of formal and informal training opportunities. The RMH RMO Society works tirelessly to ensure Doctors in Training are able to attend conferences and other professional development activities, meet their training requirements and have access to appropriate training and supervision.

The RMH RMO Society is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our luxurious resident quarters. Member fees go towards an endless supply of pantry snacks, regular catered lunches and a Netflix subscription.

Social
The RMH RMO Society runs a peer support program for all out of cycle and new Doctors in Training commencing their employment at Melbourne Health. We also hosts a variety of social events throughout the year aimed at welcoming new doctors and improving collegiality.
